We are proud to announce the successful completion of a highly engaging, one-day technical workshop titled “Digital Image Correlation – A Sophisticated Approach to Optical Measurement.” The event was hosted by our valued partners, Podhikai Scientific Private Limited, in collaboration with Mercury MS, s.r.o. and our fellow technology partners, AMETEK India and Phantom High-Speed Cameras.
The workshop was a great success, bringing together the Indian engineering and research community for a day of intensive learning and technical discussions focused on the cutting edge of non-contact measurement.
Key Highlights and Practical Insights
The agenda was designed to deliver practical, real-world solutions and insights, covering the full spectrum of DIC and high-speed imaging applications:
- DIC Fundamentals and Applications: Our team, led by Tomáš Fomenko, provided an introduction to Mercury RT® and presented deep insights into DIC and its industrial applications, including future technology trends in the field.
- High-Speed Imaging Expertise: AMETEK India and Phantom High-Speed Cameras, with experts Jayaraj B and Dr. Sanat Kumar Ranjan, conducted a live demonstration and setup of Phantom High-Speed Cameras, showcasing how to capture the fast events required for dynamic testing.
- Real-World Problem Solving: The sessions covered real-time application examples on critical measurements, including strain analysis, vibration, displacement, and micro-level evaluations, ensuring the content was both clear and application-focused.
This workshop provided an excellent platform for collaborative learning, empowering professionals involved in material characterization, structural testing, product validation, and optical diagnostics. The technical discussions and strong engagement throughout the sessions demonstrated the community’s enthusiasm for advanced optical measurement.
